Why I Collect Friends tells the story of the relationships between myself and those close to me. I wanted to transform Patricia Lantz's very ~internety~ "Why I Collect Things" into something personal and provocative.

Process
Initially, I wanted to make something maximalist and over the top. I was looking at a lot of Online Ceramics Dead and Company merch, and was inpsired to juxtapose a healthy amount of Helvetica with color, personality and fun. This did not go well. I ironed out the concept and, though the process, discovered my favorite typeface: Untitled.
